A law firm in Baltimore, MD is seeking a highly experienced Senior Trusts and Estates Attorney to lead complex estate and trust matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing estate and trust administration, drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, and managing client interactions. This role requires strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and significant experience in handling large and complex estates.Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the probate process.Prepare and file federal and state estate tax returns.Conduct tax projections and analysis.Coordinate the preparation of income tax returns for individuals and fiduciaries.Handle various administration matters related to estates.Prepare fiduciary accountings and manage distributions to beneficiaries.Implement tax planning strategies and coordinate the preparation of fiduciary income tax returns.Draft sophisticated estate planning documents and ancillary transactional documents.Prepare and present written correspondence to clients regarding estate planning materials.Conduct economic projections and collaborate with clients and outside advisors to implement estate plans.Assume significant responsibility for client matters and projects.Demonstrate leadership in first-chair projects.Exhibit business development skills and contribute to firm growth.Requirements:Minimum of 8 years of experience in administering large and complex estates and a variety of trusts.Extensive experience in drafting estate planning documents.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in Maryland.Skills:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.Proficiency in business generation and client management.Experience managing first-chair projects and handling significant client responsibilities.
