ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking an Information Assurance Security Advisor that provides technical and programmatic information assurance services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. Responsibilities include:Designing, developing, and implementing security requirements within an organization's business processes.Preparing documentation from information obtained from customers using accepted guidelines.Preparing security test and evaluation plans.Providing certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans.Conducting complex risk and vulnerability assessments.Analyzing policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and providing recommendations for closing gaps.Recommending system enhancements to improve security deficiencies.Developing, testing, and integrating computer and network security tools.Securing system configurations and installing security tools, scanning systems to determine compliance and reporting results.Conducting security program audits and developing solutions to lessen identified risks.Providing information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.Assisting in computer incident investigations.Performing vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies.Supporting client's assessment and authorization (A&A) process for a portfolio of 40 mission systems.Collaborating with systems engineering, development, integration, and project team technical leadership to assist/facilitate the production of quality Body of Evidence (BOE) packages.Facilitating BOE package handoffs to client information/cyber security partners as part of the overall A&A process.

QualificationsMinimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Strong systems integration and collaboration skills with demonstrated track record; strong planning skills; strong communication skills; very good understanding and working familiarity with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio), and proven ability to act with minimal direction to accomplish program objectives; self-starter. Working familiarity with cybersecurity tools (e.g., Rapid 7 and Nmap), including scan artifact management relative to enterprise compliance workflows. Candidate should be an effective communicator and comfortable working with team members representing a range of disciplines (i.e., security, counter–intelligence, information security, cybersecurity, information technology, and systems engineering).Clearance Required:

BenefitsPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan. Target Salary Range: $146,000 – $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
