Completing comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and developing individualized treatment plansProviding individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groupsDocumenting treatment and discharge plans, clients' progress and responses to treatment; and maintaining related records and chartsPerforming case management and contributing to client care monitoringOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field a plus (High School diploma or equivalent required)6 months of previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling in a corrections environment desiredDesignation as a Recognized Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (RASAC I/II) required or must obtain within 60 days of employment. Higher credential through the Missouri Credentialing Board (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP) a plus.This is a full-time position working Tuesday - Saturday, evening hoursMust be able to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearancePhysical Requirements:

Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clientsExerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and dataAbility to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracyAbility to respond to telephones, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noisesBenefits at Gateway Foundation:
