Better Morning emerged as an outpatient behavioral health practice in Ashburn, VA in the year of 2014.
In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off as a certified provider for intensive in home and community-based services (IHCBS), for at-risk youth in the District of Columbia.
In August of 2017, Better Morning was certified as a Core service agency (CSA) by DC Department of Behavioral Health. Better Morning's founder’s passion for at-risk youth and their families was the motivation to keep expanding the evidence-based programs to meet the needs of the underserved population.
Job Description
This position requires the candidate to have a license in counseling, social work, or be working towards licensure. IF YOU ARE NOT LICENSE ELIGIBLE, PLEASE DON'T APPLY. Compensation varies based on your credentials and licensure status. Responsibilities: Conduct assessments as scheduled. Develop treatment plans, complete GAIN, DLA-20/CAFAS. Complete the initial treatment plan on the same day as the assessment is initiated. Complete the assessment document within seven days of initiation of the service. Exercise sound judgment in proposing changes to client treatment plans. Coordinate closely with other staff to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities if needed. Attend supervision as required. Complete other clinical administration tasks as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Master's in Mental Health, Social Work, or related fields and holds a license in DC. Experience in Community Mental Health is preferred. Expert level of written and verbal communication skills is required and must have strong documentation skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with consumers, families, staff, community, and the general public. Additional Information
