Key job responsibilities1) Support stakeholders by providing reports and dashboards:- Collaborate closely with stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Sales Ops, Finance) to understand their reporting and analytics needs- Design and develop high-quality, interactive dashboards that provide stakeholders with real-time, self-service access to key business metrics and insights- Create standardized reports that deliver timely, accurate information to support decision-making across the organization2) Provide insights through data analyses:- Conduct in-depth analyses of business data to uncover hidden trends, identify growth opportunities, and surface impactful recommendations- Apply advanced analytical techniques, such as statistical modeling and data mining, to derive actionable insights from complex, ambiguous data sets- Translate technical findings into business-focused narratives that resonate with stakeholders3) Increase productivity by implementing automations:- Identify repetitive, manual tasks within the BI workflow (e.g., data refreshes, report generation, email distribution)- Design and develop custom automation solutions, leveraging tools and scripting languages, to streamline these processes- Train stakeholders on the use of automated tools and processes, empowering them to self-serve where appropriate4) Develop tools to support various programs conducted by our stakeholders:- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the requirements and objectives of their programs (e.g., marketing campaigns, sales initiatives)- Design and build specialized BI tools (e.g., custom reports, dashboards, data models) to support the data-driven needs of these programs- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience- Advanced experience with SQL, extract data from multiple large scale Redshift databases using efficient queries.- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights- Fluent in Japanese and English- Basic knowledge of R/Python or similar scripting languages with applications for data analysis (pandas, scikit-learn, stats packages)- Basic knowledge of AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, Lambda, Quicksight, etc).
