Please do not apply here, apply internally through Workday.If you are NOT a current employee or student, please click "Apply" and complete the application process for external applicants.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Penn State Greater Allegheny invites applications for a term, non-tenure-line Program Director/Teaching Assistant Professor or Lecturer appointment in Social Work with the possibility of reappointment (36 weeks) to begin October 2024, or as negotiated.Responsibilities:Lead accreditation efforts for the Bachelor of Social Work program.Build semester course schedules in collaboration with the registrar and chief academic officer.Teach undergraduate courses each semester at the Penn State Greater Allegheny campus in a variety of areas related to the Bachelor of Social Work degree program using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods.Participate in professional organizations and in course, curriculum, and program development.Advise students and provide career guidance.Participate in campus, university, and community service activities.Required Qualifications:Earned MSW degree and at least two years post-BSW or post-MSW social work practice experience.Evidence of a commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected.Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage.Prior college-level and online teaching experience required.Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.Preferred Qualifications:Earned doctorate in Social Work (DSW or PhD) or closely related field.Licensed social worker in Pennsylvania.Experience with the accreditation process.Campus Information:Penn State University is a multi-campus public land-grant university that improves the lives of the people of Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world.
