Director People Partner APACZendesk is searching for a dynamic Director of People Partners APAC to lead our complex and growing region which spans 8 countries including two of our rapidly expanding Smart Global Footprint locations; India and Philippines. In essence, the role of the HR Director for APAC entails thinking globally but also understanding the unique regional nuances, leveraging their HR expertise to contribute effectively to the company's global strategy and operations.Who might you be? You are an experienced and progressive business partner with a strong consultative style and proven HR leadership experience across multiple countries in APAC. You have demonstrable experience of end to end project ownership and strong execution in a highly dynamic and matrixed environment.You excel in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and can readily adapt to any situation; from being in an operational mindset one minute to transitioning to high level strategic thought leadership the next. You aren't above doing the little things, but you're ready to tackle the big jobs too. You live for jam-packed days, but always have time to support a team member.This role reports to the Snr Director HR (EMEA & APAC) and Global Employee Relations based in Ireland.Primary Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leadership within the region and facilitate executive level and global discussions and outcomes.Partner with HR colleagues to innovate, enhance and drive the effectiveness of enterprise wide People and Places programs within APAC.Build alignment with functional teams to assist regional leadership in adapting to processes and procedures.Represent the leadership voice of the People and Places organization across all of APAC at Zendesk. Bring the teams together as one cohesive and supportive People and Places team.Partner with colleagues outside of HR (e.g. Legal, Finance) to ensure alignment and teamwork in achieving HR and their functional objectives.Work hand in hand with our HR COEs to advise and guide your peers who own these to ensure they are appropriate for the region.Lead change initiatives that will continue to evolve the work of the People and Places team locally.Travel to other APAC locations will be required from time to time.Requirements

To be successful in this role, it is essential you have experience in all of the following:A proven track record of success, working as a true business partner at a Director level or senior manager level.Ideally you will have operated in a Head of HR role within a smaller organization with a regional remit.Ability to influence, partner and coach across a matrixed environment.Ability to think globally and look across various functions as it relates to change management and organizational evolution.Competent in advising on issues that have legal and people implications across region.Ability to solve complex problems across the region.Inventive and able to independently handle a high degree of change and ambiguity.Outstanding project management, presentation and communication skills.A strong leader and developer of talent.Previous experience in a multinational US headquartered organization through a period of transition and growing regional hubs would be an advantage but not a requirement.What’s the team like?

The team is distributed across APAC and EMEA and works across multiple time zones and works with stakeholders across the business.This role will lead the APAC People Partner team based in Singapore and Manila.And finally, it's a team full of good humans who pride themselves on their work and their team ethos.Zendesk believes in offering our people a fulfilling and inclusive experience.
