Pricing Specialist

Alexandria, VA.This position involves the analysis, estimating, and pricing of government and commercial contracts as well as supporting the soliciting of subcontractor pricing and input for said contracts. The candidate would be responsible for analyzing and verifying SOW information, estimating, pricing, tracking progress on projects, and adhering to project pricing deadlines at EMCOR Governments Services Corporate Headquarters in Alexandria, VA. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to accomplish and complete assigned tasks and projects with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews Performance Work Statement/Scope of Work (PWS/SOW) from clients, customers, and local contract sites to verify accuracy, developing questions as needed.Assist in developing estimates and pricing in response to client/customer RFP/RFQ, utilizing various sources including internal data, and external estimating such as RS Means.Prepares contract price adjustments at option periods and contract renewals to account for increases in wage determination (CBA, SCA, DBA) wages and benefits in accordance with the FAR.Prepares contract modification pricing based on client change requests.Prepares billable rates for IDIQ reimbursable work and T&M labor contracts.Attends meetings with BD, Contracts and/or Sites in relation to assigned projects.Maintains GSA MAS Schedule activities, as needed.Responds to site and accounting department inquiries regarding contract pricing matters.Prepares reports, plans, recommendations and budgetary data as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Requires Microsoft Office experience and must be proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel formulas and formula tracing capability.Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business desired with 2+ years of experience providing facilities maintenance and repair pricing and cost estimating services. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience providing facilities maintenance and repair pricing and cost estimating services.Experience working with Service Contract Act and Collective Bargaining Agreement labor rates preferred.Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of facilities maintenance, repair and/or construction is a plus.Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of the Navy and Air Force Price Adjustment Guides preferred.Knowledge of the principles of the Price Adjustment clauses of the FAR preferred.Ability to plan, organize and implement work assignments and work independently on multiple projects.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to deal tactfully, responsively, and equitably with people.Travel up to 10% may be required.We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
