You will be based in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas or Chicago as part of the Client Capabilities Hub in Manufacturing & Supply Chain. You will work directly with our clients and McKinsey colleagues to deploy our assets and ensure we bring tangible, lasting impact to clients. You will have a mix of remote and on-site work depending on the nature of client engagement.What You'll Do

In this role, part of your time (30-40%) will include co-leading the Deliver Hub - a global team of data scientists specializing in logistics. The Deliver Hub works with McKinsey consulting teams and clients to deliver best in class functional expertise and tech enablement in logistics by leveraging a suite of internal and 3rd party tools, proprietary analytics, and benchmarking database that accelerates diagnostics and transformations.You will spend a significant part (60-70%) of your time working on client engagements helping solve complex client problems in logistics (Transportation, network design/optimization and warehousing). You will guide supply chain related analytical work, which would include among others, usage of statistical techniques and operations research for data analysis.As co-lead of the Deliver Hub, your responsibilities will include supporting/guiding the team in their ongoing engagements and managing/standardizing processes to improve efficiency of the team (e.g. standardize operating model/knowledge etc.).Qualifications

Advanced degree in operations management, statistics, or industrial engineering, with a strong quantitative underpinning and an outstanding academic record7+ years of relevant experience in a consulting / analytics firm; background in solving complex logistics, supply chain network problems in the CPG, Automotive, Electronics or Metals & Mining industriesDemonstrated record of delivering impact through industry knowledge, tools and modeling techniqueExperience in transportation, warehousing and network modeling / designExpert level skills in Excel; Mid / expert level skills in Tableau / Power BI and ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx/ KNIME)Experience in end-to-end supply chain network modelling with one or more industry standard tools (e.g., Coupa / LLamasoft SC Guru, IBM LogicNet Plus, AIMMS, Riverlogic etc.)Experience in Transport Management Solutions and Digital Logistics Control Tower modules of advanced supply chain solutionsExposure to transport and warehouse clean sheetSpecific exposure to multiple aspects of network optimization like scenario design, 3PL logistics market, automation technologies, demand and inventory planning, production scheduling, supply chain organization structure and supply chain IT etc.Ability to lead a team of analysts to solve multiple supply chain network & planning problemsExcellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutionsAbility to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlinesAdditionally, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, interact effectively with members from all levels in McKinsey and client organizations, with skills to communicate complex ideas effectivelyMust be open to 50% TravelFOR U.S. APPLICANTS: McKinsey & Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
