A law firm in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 2 to 7 years of experience to join their esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) retirement plan, contributions to health and dental plans, a subsidized gym membership, and disability coverage.Duties:Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Engage in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Develop and implement effective case strategies in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys.Conduct client interviews and maintain regular client communications to provide updates and legal advice.Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration processes.Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and paralegals.Ensure compliance with all legal standards and court regulations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana.2 to 7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and rules.Excellent litigation and trial skills.Effective negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.Strong organizational and case management skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
