This role requires high academic achievement, law firm experience, and excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Develop and structure franchise and distributor programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.Assess and provide counsel on various franchise contract and relationship issues.Draft and review franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements.Perform state franchise registrations and manage ongoing compliance.Negotiate supply contracts and other related transactions.Assist in resolving franchise disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.Support international franchise development and cross-border transactions.Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex franchise and distribution matters.Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of franchise and distribution laws and industry trends.Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents as required.Qualifications:Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensure:
Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.Experience:
Experience in franchise and distribution law, preferably within a law firm environment.Skills:
Superb writing, drafting, and communication skills.Strong research and analytical abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
