Women's Health Department Chair - MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center

MedStar Health is seeking a board-certified Women's Health Department Chair at our practice located in Clinton, Maryland. Services include well visits, preventive screenings, breast health, genetic services, diagnostic imaging, preconception counseling, fetal assessment, labor and delivery (high-risk/low-risk), mother/baby, gynecology oncology care, obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, award-winning NICU care, urogynecology care, bone health, education, and more. Our comprehensive and distinct complement of services is designed to meet the unique healthcare needs of women throughout their lives, including adolescence, puberty, adulthood, menopause, and senior care.Exciting opportunity to help build a new department!Manages 5-6 OB Generalist and Advance Practice Providers. Closely involved in quality and safety within the department. Department Chair will be 0.3 FTE administration time in leader role and will be 0.7 FTE clinical.5-7 years of OB/GYN experience. OB Generalist or MFM experience preferred.Director Chair Duties:Responsible for directing the clinical activities and services provided to obstetric and gynecologic patients at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. Clinical sites of service include but are not limited to the labor and delivery unit, emergency department, operating room, inpatient and inpatient consultative services.

Responsible for managing and ensuring the delivery of the safest, highest quality clinical care and professional activities at these clinical sites by the credentialed providers, in coordination with Medical Director and the Nursing Director.
