This project aims to provide faster and more reliable public transportation services than buses operating in congested, mixed-flow traffic.Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support recruitment, ensure compliance with employment labor laws, and perform other related duties. If you have a passion for HR functions and possess strong administrative skills, we encourage you to apply.Duties SummaryThis position performs human resources functions as a primary work assignment. The authorized level of the position is a Human Resources Specialist III, with applications being accepted down to Human Resources Specialist I in the event of recruiting difficulties.Minimum Qualification Requirements for the Class:Grade I:

A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.Knowledge of:

methods and techniques for evaluating and analyzing facts, information, and issues to resolve problems; report and letter writing; research and statistical methods and techniques.Ability to:

learn the principles, methods, and techniques of human resources management; interpret laws, rules, and regulations pertinent to public human resources management work; analyze information and present ideas clearly; conduct research; and follow instructions.Grade II:

A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree; and one year of professional human resources management work experience or other responsible professional work experience.Knowledge of:

basic government organization and functions; principles of public human resources administration; methods for evaluating and analyzing facts, information, and issues.Ability to:

apply principles of human resources management; interpret laws and regulations; elicit and analyze data; prepare reports; express ideas logically; and follow instructions.Grade III:

A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management work experience.Knowledge of:

basic government organization; principles of public human resources administration; methods for evaluating and analyzing facts, information, and issues.Ability to:

apply principles of human resources management; interpret laws and regulations; analyze data; prepare reports; express ideas logically; and follow instructions.License Requirement:

Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license, as required.Physical Requirement:

Candidates must meet the health and physical condition standards necessary for performance of the duties.Schedule and Location:

The work is conducted in the HART offices in Honolulu, Hawaii (no telecommuting allowed) during typical 8-hour shifts. HART does not cover any relocation costs.
