HVAC Construction Supervisor , you will support all phases of maintenance construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.In addition, you will:Demonstrate competency with installation and diagnostics to ensure the completion of services at a professional level.Develop your team's skill set and knowledge of HVAC maintenance.Lead by example and support the company-wide safety culture.Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects.Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers.Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities.Maintain commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units - diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.Perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.Replace or install forced air heating and air conditioning systems.Replace or install complete hydronic heating systems or refrigeration equipment.Install or replace duct systems in telecommunication shelters.Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.Layout and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram.Troubleshoot low voltage control systems.Understand underground gas monitoring systems.Maintain generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, or installing and replacing components or entire systems.Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure proper readiness.Read and follow blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair.Install electrical wiring and controls and test for proper operation.Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, and other components.Use care to conserve, recover, and recycle the oil or fuel filters and other fluids.Assist in troubleshooting and repair with other Generator Service Technicians.Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms; can be on call 24/7 if necessary.Operate a computer, or similar devices to access required systems and equipment.Work independently with minimum or no supervision.Perform work with the awareness of all potential hazards connected with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment.Comply with all specifications, industry standards, safety rules and regulations, and company policies and procedures.QualificationsAbout You:Prior experience with underground CEV (Controlled Environment Vault) preferred.Able to read and understand electrical ladder schematics.Basic plumbing knowledge of sump pumps.Possess strong knowledge of pumps, dry coolers, and cooling towers.Knowledge of HVAC codes and their proper application.Universal refrigerant card (including 410a) EPA 608. Types 1, 2, and 3.Understanding of telecommunications and data processing operations.Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance is preferred.Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.Must have the ability to be on call and travel extensively for work when needed.PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft and internet products.This position requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods of time.Safety is a part of your day-to-day.You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.You embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team.Hard work pays off.
