How You'll Make an Impact
The Director of Compensation Design will be charged with working directly with the compensation team and leadership to develop strategic proposals regarding compensation programs. These programs will range from broad based incentives to developing metrics and ensuring that our day-to-day programs are running at optimal levels. The Compensation Director will design, support, and implement compensation programs aligned with Epsilon's performance culture and ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements. The Compensation Director will be called upon to provide support to existing programs and business leaders, but their primary duties will be to support the strategy and design demands on the compensation function. Additionally, the Compensation Director may provide support but not limited to the following: merit, annual bonus, salary surveys, pay equity, pay transparency and more, as well as providing day-to-day support for various business units related to job, wage, and salary classification.
Work together win together: As the Director of Compensation, you'll report to the Senior Vice President of HR Compensation and HR Operations. You'll work with the HR COEs, Compensation team, and the business to validate, and recommend new innovative approaches to compensation. You'll partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, HRIS and business owners to implement processes, systems, and tools to improve compensation administration, communication, and analysis. You may also provide support to other members of the compensation team, regarding annual salary review/merit process, variable compensation/commission plans, equity, and other compensation programs. This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL.Innovate with purpose: You'll use your compensation knowledge to influence decisions on Epsilon's compensation design philosophies and incorporate strategy into future decisions. You'll help maintain a compensation structure/philosophy and classifications system, define job levels and families, compile market data and establish pay parameters.Manage and oversee large scale initiatives involving cross-functional teamsParticipate, analyze, and interpret market dataComplete special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or company pay equityConsolidate information and produce reports to be used for management decision makingSupport communications and change management efforts of Compensation/HREnsure proper documentation and audit processes are developed, approved, and followed
Who You Are
What you'll bring with you:
12+ years of experience in compensationPrior experience in consultative roles in mid to large-size technology corporations or consulting companies (over 500 employees)Experience leading compensation programs and conducting high-level presentationsKnowledge and experience with state and federal labor laws and regulations as it relates to compensationStrong understanding of HRIS systems.Advanced knowledge of Excel required: complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and graphs and charts.
