This is your opportunity to join a large growing company offering a competitive base hourly rate and benefits.What's in it For You:Enjoy paid training allowing you to learn from successful professionalsOpportunity for a long term, advanced career path in service, sales, or managementAccess to best in class resources, tools, and technologyThrive in a company that values a culture of safety to include top-notch safety training and personal protection equipmentComprehensive benefits package starting day 1 of employment- medical, dental, vision, and more!What You Will Do:This position will primarily be responsible for conducting testing to ensure the quality of purchased raw materials, intermediates and finished products and assists in troubleshooting plant quality problems.Performs routine analysis using Quality Control procedures under supervision using established test procedures.Operation and maintenance of a variety of laboratory instrumentation and associated software.Approve/reject materials by comparison with the Inspection Plan requirements.Interfaces with QA Management, R & D and Manufacturing personnel in troubleshooting problems with raw materials, in-process materials, intermediates and finished products under the direction of more experienced QA personnel.Performs timely standardization and calibration of reagents and equipment.Assists in the generation of physical properties and routine analysis of samples from the field and R & D.Follows sample labeling requirements.Assists in maintaining needed supplies of chemicals and miscellaneous equipment.Participates in special projects assigned by Management or Senior QA Associates.Monitors quality of plant utility samples as requested.Maintain good housekeeping to ensure laboratory cleanlinessAdhere to safety, health and environmental policies and proceduresLocation Information:This will be a local position in Odessa, TX.Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Odessa, TX.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree in Chemistry or related technical field, or college coursework in pursuit of an associate degree in Chemistry or a related technical field.Must be able to work Shift work for these roles - position will switch from days to nights every few weeks and some weekends involvedBasic computer skills are desirable.All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write EnglishImmigration sponsorship is not offered for this rolePhysical Demands:Must have the ability to Lift/Carry up to 20 poundsMust be able to pass a drug screen and physical examPreferred Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related technical field and industrial-specific laboratory experience are preferred.Basic knowledge of SAP usage.Intermediate computer skills particularly, in the use of spreadsheets and databases is desirable.Awareness of Laboratory and chemical safetyAbout ChampionXChampionX is a global leader in providing chemistry programs and services, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.
