Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney

The law firm, located in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or computer science, coupled with a strong academic background, law firm exposure, and excellent communication skills. The role involves working on patent prosecution cases related to electrical engineering, software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), and machine learning/artificial intelligence with a hardware security emphasis.Duties:Conducting patent preparation and prosecution activities in accordance with legal standards and regulations.Collaborating with clients and inventors to understand the technical aspects of inventions.Analyzing and interpreting patent laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.Drafting and preparing legal documents, including patent applications, responses to office actions, and legal memoranda.Conducting legal research to support patent prosecution activities.Requirements:A minimum of 2 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.A degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Strong academic achievement.The solid law firm, engineering, and industry experience.Excellent writing and communication skills.Preferred experience in patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies.Preferred experience in data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), and machine learning/artificial intelligence with a hardware security emphasis.Company infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
