Senior Software Engineer

Clearance Requirement: TS//SCI with Full Scope PolygraphAs a Senior Software Engineer at Synergist, you will work with a team of developers on a specific project critical to one of our customer’s needs. You'll be an active contributor on an Agile Software development team to deliver custom solutions to the customer. You will perform design, development, and testing activities related to assigned tasks and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.Don’t worry about being stuck in the same position forever as we provide all of our employees with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and your skill set grow and your interests evolve.Technologies Utilized:Golang, Kotlin, Java, Python, Docker, Marathon, Mesos, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, HTTP, Thrift, gRPC, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Logstash, KibanaDegree and Years of Experience:BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study and 8 years of software development/engineering experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for the degree.Minimum Qualifications:Ability to lead, direct, and/or mentor a software development teamAbility to collaborate across multiple teams and develop ideas, architectures, and agreements to support the interfaces between productsSoftware development experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, RubyExperience developing software within a Linux environmentExperience working with any of the following: web/mobile application development, distributed systems, user interface development, big data analyticsExcellent communication skillsPassion for technology and the drive to learn new programming languages and frameworksRequired Experience:Experience with Golang, Kotlin/Java, and/or PythonExperience creating containerized applications (Docker)Experience deploying containerized applications to an orchestrated platform (Marathon/Mesos, Kubernetes, etc)Experience working independently to solve complex problemsExperience with asynchronous messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Apache KafkaExperience creating and integrating with remote services via HTTP, Thrift, or gRPCExperience monitoring application performance with metrics (Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana) and logs with ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)Desired Experience:Experience with Machine Learning Analytics
