Sales Consultant

you are directly responsible for selling new and used cars, providing our customers with the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, and achieving DARCARS sales goals. The Car Sales Consultant will interact directly with customers in person and virtually, other Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, and the General Manager of the dealership. This is a non-supervisory, commission-based position.In this role, you will:Conduct business in a professional and ethical mannerFollow DARCARS approach to selling (including but not limited to):Greet customers with a welcoming attitude and listen to their needsDescribe operations and features of vehicles matching customer’s needs via in-person or virtuallyFollow DARCARS test drive procedures (obtaining correct identification, following test drive route, etc.)Suggest optional equipment, features, warranties, for customer to purchaseCorrectly compute and quote sales priceWork with finance team to obtain financing, as neededComplete all necessary paperworkArrange for delivery and registration of the vehicleAddress all customer concerns and ensure customer is satisfiedMaintain solid knowledge of brands and products; including features, specifications, pricing, options, and standard equipmentMake an effective demonstration ride on a planned routeDevelop and maintain future prospect and customer follow-up systemParticipate in all required brand and DARCARS trainingUtilize and be familiar with online digital retailing selling toolsMay be required to use video tools to assist customers virtually with car buying processIn conjunction with the General Manager, develop personal income goals consistent with DARCARS standards and develop a strategy to consistently meet those goalsComply with DARCARS policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications:Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employeesAbility to speak multiple languages (Spanish and Chinese) is a plus!Demonstrated commitment to customer serviceComfortable using video tools, Facetime, etc., to assist customersRequires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customersPrevious sales experience preferred but not requiredRequires the ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functionsBe able to work in a fast-paced environmentBe a team playerMust be able to work a flexible schedule, evenings and weekendsMust have a valid driver’s license and acceptable safe driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Must be at least eighteen years of ageMust be able to pass pre-employment screen (background)BenefitsInsurance: medical, vision, dentalShort-term and long-term disability plansLife Insurance401(k)Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairsOpportunities to join our community service initiativesInternal career advancement opportunitiesThis job advertisement in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
