Do you enjoy mentoring others? If so, the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination-Telehealth (SAFE-T) Center at The Pennsylvania State University needs you! The SAFE-T Center is growing their elite team of highly trained forensic nurses (TeleSANEs) to include SANEs who specialize in the pediatric population.The SAFE-T Center TeleSANE team is comprised of experienced, IAFN-certified* Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners who have dedicated their careers to advancing the field of forensic nursing. These TeleSANEs are making a difference for victims of crime by providing real-time mentorship and live quality assurance to lesser-experienced SANEs in rural and underserved communities. This team continually strives to provide excellence in telehealth through rigorous, quality assurance and training activities. There is an intense commitment in the advancement of the SAFE-T Center’s mission to enhance care for victims of sexual assault in underserved communities as well as a desire to nurture the growth of future SANEs.As a SAFE-T Center TeleSANE, you will be paid to take call and conduct telehealth consultations securely from your home through special equipment provided to you by the SAFE-T Center. This opening is an ideal second job for many SANEs, but due to the level of training invested in you as a TeleSANE, the SAFE-T Center asks for a two-year commitment to the opening.Job Duties

are expected to sign up for a combination of days, nights, weekends each month to fill schedule.New hires will be asked to attend
an initial
virtual training and onboarding, followed by
successful
completion of individualized
virtual trainings and
practice telehealth
consultations, as well as an in-person onboarding session.
All training and travel will be fully compensated.The SAFE-T Center will
occasionally
host
TeleSANE
meetings and t
rainings
in State College, PA
. SAFE-T Center will provide all travel reimbursement.There is approximately
30 hours
of paid training prior to serving on call.TeleSANEs
are expected to attend
and contribute to
regularly scheduled monthly

meetings and trainings
