This senior-level position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to influence public policy, engage with key stakeholders, and ensure that our organization’s interests are represented effectively at the federal and state levels.This person will report directly to our VP of Government Affairs.You WillStrategic Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement comprehensive government affairs strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments in the US that could impact the organization.Provide strategic advice to senior management on policy and regulatory issues.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with federal legislators, regulatory agencies, and other government officials.Engage with industry associations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to advocate for the company’s positions.

Policy Advocacy:

Develop and articulate policy positions on key issues affecting the organization.Draft position papers, policy briefs, and advocacy materials.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with internal departments, including marketing, sales and the product team to ensure cohesive advocacy efforts.Coordinate with external consultants, lobbyists, and industry coalitions to amplify the organization’s voice.

Communication:

Communicate complex policy issues and the organization’s positions to various audiences, including policymakers, stakeholders, and the public.

About YouBachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Extensive experience (10+ years) in government affairs, public policy, or a related role, with a strong focus on federal institutions.Proven track record of successful policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement.In-depth knowledge of the US legislative and regulatory processes.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Fluency in English is required.This role is based in the United States, with the option to work from one of our hubs in New York City or Washington D.C.Why it’s great to work at Altana
