Technical Advisor

Provide technical support to customer, distributor and sales organization.Assist with managing the tasks involved in the technical lab.Provide press side assistance. Design press trials for new products and plate optimizations.Assist with Technical Association presentations (FTA, TLMI, etc.).Assist customers and salespeople with technical questions regarding flexographic and letterpress photopolymer plates, especially with pre-press and rip issues.Assist with the composition of technical bulletins and assigned projects.Troubleshoot printing and plate problems and write technical reports based on findings.Travel to customer sites for support requirements and issue appropriate follow-up documentation.Provide assigned training for flexographic and letterpress plate making. Work on special applications projects.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, graphic communication, graphic design, or engineering, or related field of study and three years of experience as Technical Advisor, other occupation involving technical design or engineering, or occupation in which the required experience was gained.Experience must include: experience with the flexographic printing process; experience with plate making; experience with sleeve usage; experience with rip systems; and experience with database software.OTHER:

International and domestic travel to client sites is required. Travel is required 60-75% of time spent in the position.If offered employment, must have legal right to work in U.S.
