Ledcor's Heavy Civil and Mining division is actively seeking an Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating cost estimates and preparation of estimating packages in relation to quantity takeoffs, cost buildups, studies, budgets, subtrade solicitation, and competitive bid comparisons to support our projects.

The Estimator will use their knowledge by offering innovative perspectives on existing solutions, and exercises judgment based on the analysis of diverse information sources. This individual provides guidance for non-estimating personnel on estimating related requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:Analyze bid packages, plans, and specifications to accurately estimate project costs.Gather and evaluate cost data from subcontractors, suppliers, and other sources.Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.Prepare and present cost estimates to management and clients.Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project execution.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and construction technologies.Qualifications:

Two to four years of experience in construction/estimating, preferably on heavy civil related construction projectsProficient computing skills and experience with MS OfficeExperience with InEight Estimate is preferredKnowledge and practical use experience of trade-related drawings and specifications, including understanding of construction documents and the ability to assess their level of completenessKnowledge of construction costs and budgets, ability to develop a project scheduleExperience with negotiations and resolving contractual risks as well as recommending mitigation practicesStrong work ethic, interpersonal skills, organization, verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead othersWorking Conditions:

This is an office-based position, this person will be working full-time from our Reno, Nevada officeCompensation Range $71,000-$105,000

Compensation Range$70,400.00 - $105,600.00
