Lab Planner

to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. Our Dallas studio is continuing to grow, and you’ll have the opportunity to be a central part of our expansion. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members across studios on projects that are both local and across California and Texas.We walk the talk in changing lives by design. We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits, including health and dental insurance, retirement and financial, wellness, and other work/life plans.What you will do:You will serve as the primary point of contact for our key project stakeholders, engineering consultants, and medical equipment vendors.Responsible for establishing project spatial usage programs, developing preliminary planning layouts, and coordinating with other project leaders.Design creative spaces that define and shape the principles of innovative laboratory design.Provide inspiration and guidance for strategic firm-wide initiatives to advance our Science & Technology project design, operations, and business development.Develop content, research, and technical white papers for internal and external thought leadership presentations and publications in collaboration with our Sustainability and Applied Research team.Lead laboratory programming assignments and lab organization concepts.Provide subject matter expertise and leadership for laboratory facilities in programming, design, fit-out planning, equipment planning, MEP systems integration planning, casework specification, and construction administration.Be an essential part of a project team working on all phases of a laboratory design project from Programming and Schematic Design through Construction Administration in the Academic and/or Corporate Science & Technology sector.Collaborate throughout the design process in developing high-performance design strategies associated with lab planning and building infrastructure approach.What we will do:Provide mentorship from Managing Directors and Design Directors as well as other in-house disciplines on all projects.Provide career growth opportunities including licensure incentives, professional development grants, and our professional development process.In-house management and leadership training opportunities.Opportunities to attend nationwide conferences related to lab planning.Education opportunities including LPA+U and LPA Tech Talks.Provide study grants for exploration – Catapult, LPA Foundation.Lab Planner Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture required.10+ years of experience in all phases of architectural projects.Strong Revit knowledge.Expertise in building codes and construction as it relates to design and construction services.Architectural license preferred.LPA is an integrated design firm with offices in California and Texas.
