JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.As a Training & Development Manager in our organization, you will be responsible for enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees. Your role will focus on identifying training needs, designing effective programs, and ensuring their successful implementation to support our operational goals and compliance requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, EHS&Q compliance requirements, and consultation with management.Design and execute a variety of training programs using traditional (classroom, on-the-job) and modern methods (e-learning, mentoring, coaching).Develop a structured training matrix that aligns with organizational and operational needs, ensuring training documentation is comprehensive and accessible.Conduct effective orientation sessions to welcome new employees and familiarize them with company policies, procedures, and culture.Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success, and return on investment; report out on results to management.Manage training budget.Provide continuous learning opportunities and development programs to support employee growth.Resolve any specific challenges and tailor training programs as necessary.Maintain keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.Manage and maintain training records; strengthen record management programs as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated experience as a training leader.Proven experience as a training leader with a demonstrated track record in designing and implementing successful training programs.Familiarity with a wide range of traditional and modern training methods.Proven leadership, mentoring, collaboration and influencing skills.Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.Highly organized with demonstrated strengths in record keeping, reporting and developing training manuals and job aids.Computer and database skills, proficient with Microsoft Suite of tools and ability and enthusiasm to learn new software and tools to support work process and improvement initiatives as necessary.Experience with apprenticeship programs.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

B.S. Degree in related field or equivalent work experience, logistics or freight forwarding a plus.Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP) is a plus.ENVIRONMENT:100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will not be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
