brings together a team that is dedicated to top-notch behavioral health care.The facility will consist of a behavioral health crisis assessment center, inpatient mental health and partial hospitalization services, an eating disorders partial hospitalization program, outpatient behavioral health clinic, and a primary care clinic with behavioral health integration.At Children’s, the region’s only full-service pediatric healthcare center, our people make us the very best for kids. Come cultivate your passion, purpose, and professional development in an environment of excellence and inclusion, where team members are supported and deeply valued.A Brief Overview of the RoleThe Medical Director of the Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Service will provide:Visionary leadership and clinical expertise, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.Blend the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental health to develop and implement innovative treatment strategies.Accountable to provide supervisory and administrative tasks, providing and role modeling interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.Responsible for our acute behavioral health services including the crisis assessment center, the inpatient units, and the mental health partial hospitalization program.Responsible for standardizing and delivering high quality of clinical care and outcomes and supporting the development of the strategic plan.Works collaboratively with other behavioral health and hospital leaders, including physician and nursing leaders to create a cohesive, quality-driven behavioral health service line.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat various medical conditions.Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.QualificationsAmerican Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty.A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible.Pay Range$130.00 - $132.22 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
