Please be aware that applications from candidates residing outside of California, Colorado, and New York will not be considered.OVERVIEWMovement Strategy is looking for a Director, Data & Insights to oversee analytics for our largest client. You’ll be an excellent fit if you’re able to lead data optimization initiatives, understand the best metrics for evaluating social success, and are not afraid to dive into data evaluation, especially regarding technical advancement. On any given day, you will work with and mentor your immediate direct reports, collaborate with Strategists on actionable recommendations, and assist the internal leadership team in shaping the department moving forward.You’ll report to the Interim Head of Data and Insights (our President) and join a team that includes Data Strategists who support and share insights across various accounts. You’ll also collaborate closely with all departments, including the Paid Media and Strategy teams, to ensure the seamless integration of data-driven insights into our work.A BIT ABOUT USMovement Strategy believes that social media is the most important marketing channel. We prioritize professional growth and development, offering continuous learning opportunities and a supportive atmosphere that empowers our teams to push boundaries and deliver exceptional results.KEY FOCUS AREASStrong working knowledge of all capabilities owned by the Data and Insights department, with the ability to discuss and propose solutions with clients.Expertise in data automation and dashboarding as D&I’s core competency.Responsible for overseeing your accounts as a business, establishing best practices and streamlining workflow and processes for efficiency.Fully owns and oversees staffing and execution of D&I responsibilities in an SOW.Leads and directs internal and client group conversations around complex problems, presenting ideas and goals in an engaging and digestible manner.QUALIFICATIONSAt least 8 years in performance marketing, digital, and/or social media data analysis within an agency environment. Experience working with creatives is a plus.Must be a leader – able to persuade, manage, and mentor across multiple experience levels.Must be able to develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and solve data issues as client needs shift.Strategic thinker with the ability to identify insights and build compelling stories from data.Experience finding efficiencies in workflow, especially related to data cleaning and crunching.Ability to create and present client-facing work ranging from hands-on clientele to high-level C-suite.Experience in all social/digital data sources across paid, owned, and earned media.Hands-on experience with data tools in various categories including data aggregation and visualization.Must be able to create measurement plans from scratch, including KPI definition, benchmarking, and ongoing reporting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Maintain high standards and attention to detail across internal and external deliverables.On top of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.IDEAL QUALITIESHigh energy, passionate, curious, confident, and tenacious in learning.Must communicate quickly and accurately, think quickly or improvise, and present confidently.Nimble self-starter who can quickly adjust to internal and external teams.Proactive and naturally curious about the digital and social space.Passionate about the work and treat client’s business as if it were your own.Track record of success in building strong relationships, leading teams, and navigating client culture.Diverse and inclusive perspective, valuing different viewpoints within the team.Create a positive and open environment.Unmatched attention to detail, ensuring that outputs meet the highest quality standards.Work smarter, not harder.Movement Strategy’s approach to the future of work:

The range listed is just one component of Movement Strategy’s total compensation package.Pay Range:
