ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a Director of Product to lead our product management team at Hopscotch Primary Care. This role is pivotal in shaping our strategic product vision and developing a comprehensive roadmap that aligns with our mission and business objectives. The Director of Product will be instrumental in balancing hands-on project management with strategic planning, ensuring that our day-to-day operations seamlessly contribute to our long-term goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the product management team in developing new technical capabilities against the product roadmap to accelerate the organization’s ability to provide high-value care.
Revise and execute a strategic product vision and comprehensive roadmap in line with the company’s mission and business goals.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team and provide technical specs to ensure the seamless integration and effective implementation of products and features.
Mentor and support product managers and other team members, fostering their professional development and guiding them in the execution of product initiatives.
Balance hands-on project management with strategic planning, ensuring that immediate tasks are in alignment with long-term objectives.
Oversee the prioritization of product initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient resource allocation.
Engage with vendors and partners to explore and integrate third-party solutions that complement and enhance our in-house technology stack.
Identify and integrate third-party solutions to accelerate product development and enhance product offerings.
Communicate product strategies and decisions across all levels of the company, clearly articulating the rationale behind these decisions and their expected impact.
Manage team processes and organization, including overseeing an agile framework, to optimize workflow and productivity in product development.
Lead cross-functional teams in various product initiatives, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Proven experience in product management, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing product teams.
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset, able to translate insights into actionable plans.
Experience in vendor management and negotiation.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience in managing scrum or similar frameworks.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Demonstrated technical competency in deploying user-facing applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Extensive experience in product management, with a track record of successful product development and team leadership.
Experience in the healthcare sector is highly preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Start-up experience preferred.
