RESPONSIBILITIES:The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Demonstrate a strong technical background and broad experience in preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other transportation structures.

Lead multi-discipline bridge projects for public sector clients.

Lead a team of engineers and/or CADD technicians for preparation of construction documents including plans, specifications, and engineer's estimate for projects and assignments of varying complexity and scope in accordance with the design standards (i.e., AASHTO, MaineDOT, MassDOT, VTRANS) and meeting department's procedures.

Function in a lead or supportive technical role in both conventional and alternative delivery bridge projects.

Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects, which could include site inspections and resolution of field issues.

Ability to perform as Client Manager assigned to a State or other Transit/ Transportation Agencies.

Proposal development/preparation with a focus on winning new projects with the existing clients such as MaineDOT, MassDOT, VTRANS, MTA, and help TYLin build relationships with prospective clients. Serve as Pursuit Lead for these proposals.

Lead Quality Control process on the projects and support implementing TYLin's Design Quality Management Plan (DQMP).

Presents and/or assists at public presentations on technical/design issues.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required from an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET).

Master's Degree would be considered a plus.

10+ years of structural design/management experience in bridges, transportation and specialty structures; Design-Build experience is a plus.

Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in either Maine, Massachusetts, or Vermont. (PE in other states is acceptable, if able to get license in above states by reciprocity).

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $120,000 - $215,000 annually for this position and local market.
