Job Description

Oversee engineering, design and installation phases of new equipment, line upgrades, and other capital projects. Manage the preventative/predictive maintenance and Maintenance Work Order Systems. Ability to create and manage budgets related to Capital equipment, facility, repair, Maintenance and labor. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for engineering, design, and modification/installation of existing and/or new (capital) equipment including industrial Automation Systems

Develop detailed plans for new processes and implementations

Develop and manage the plant Capital and Capacity plans ensuring on time and within budget

Hire, train and manage Engineers and Engineer Techs, to assist in process improvements

Oversee construction and repair projects

Develop and maintain Total Product Maintenance Program In alignment with Cornerstone Production Systems Maintenance Pillar

Responsible for driving continuous improvement in Key Maintenance Metrics through:

Accurate data capture and reporting through CMMS

Preventive Maintenance program for applicable equipment and machinery

Manage the work order system and ensuring work requests are completed in a timely fashion

Accurate and appropriate spare parts inventory

Adjust maintenance programs to ensure conformance with insurance policy requirements

Prepare budgets and secure estimates and cost quotes as needed

Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices

Support the plant achieving budgeted labor efficiency MPO/UPMH

Provide technical support to ensure the factory is operating safely, at the highest quality level and lowest possible cost

Participates in interplant cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems

Coach, counsel and manage performance of direct reports

Responsible for communicating daily with all levels of employees to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goals

Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product

Ability to manage multiple complex situations daily and deal with rapidly changing priorities

Leads by example and imposes all safety and operational procedures; promote and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards by coaching and guiding associates on safety procedures and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with federal and state laws

Travel: up to 10%

Provide leadership to all shifts of team members with communication escalations and weekend presence as needed

All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Engineering, Facility Maintenance or related field required

8+ years of experience in an Engineering Management role

3+ years people management experience

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience is required

Experience with Industrial Automation is required

Lean skills including Kaizen, Standardized Work, VSM and Six Sigma Green Belt is required, Black belt certification is a plus

Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams as well as CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)

Strong data analysis skills and experience implementing strategic initiatives

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Effective communication skills, dependability and follow through

Proven ability to effectively lead teams by successfully motivating and coaching others including strong follow through, communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills

Experience implementing and driving Continuous Improvement activities

Knowledge of safety regulations

Certification by ASQ as a CQE, CQA, or CQM considered highly desirable

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
