Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director, this position focuses on key revenue operations within the department, including licensing, corporate sponsorship, and ticketing, and oversees all related sponsorship marketing activities.Responsibilities include:The identification of business and revenue opportunities for athletics and maximize all current revenue streams and enhance overall revenue generation.Management of the Athletics’ Trademark and Licensing program.Collaborate with the ticket office to generate revenue through ticket sales by way of outbound phone calls, e-mails, and text messages.Lead Generation management and cultivation for ticket sales and sponsorships.Identify potential new clients and revenue sources, determine which to pursue.Manage all multimedia sponsorship elements and ensuring they are activated.Data analytics and email marketing.Provide co-oversite and organizer for Athletic events such as block parties, award shows and other opportunities for athlete and fan engagement.Oversee and manage all aspects of customer service for athletic events, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for attendees by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and managing a staff of customer service representatives.Sport Supervisor for Spirit teams.The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Preferred Qualifications:5 or more years of related and progressively responsible experience working in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports is desired.Demonstrated leadership, crisis management, and organizational skills and experience preferred.Have a strong work ethic and possess the ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.Excellent administrative and financial management skills preferred.Good business acumen and skill in revenue generation.Demonstrated sales, licensing, event management, and customer service experience is desired.Strategic vision and an ability to mobilize support behind institutional goals.Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with multiple constituent groups.Demonstrated commitment to lead a competitive intercollegiate sports program in the context of an academically rigorous environment.Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, community, diversity, and gender equity- ability to work with diverse populations in a positive manner.Ability to make decisions on immediate problems within prescribed scope of authority, based on knowledge of policies and procedures, including pertinent NCAA rules and regulations.Must demonstrate an appreciation for the University’s mission, culture, and tradition.Working knowledge of university, state, federal, and NCAA rules strongly desired.Ability to work with confidential and sensitive matters in a professional manner.Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to foster teamwork.GW offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, time off & leave, retirement savings, tuition, well-being, and various voluntary benefits.
