Apply Now!RequirementsSUMMARY OF DUTIES: Weld team member who provides technical expertise through visual, dimensional, and process conformance inspection of welds and the weld processes to ensure customer satisfaction under limited supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform timely in-process, and final inspections of weld process and welded components and partsIssue nonconformance records (NCRs) and provide feedback to the manufacturing teamRecord all results and findings on testing and inspection into manufacturing softwareWitness/monitor weld activities to ensure approved processes are being followed SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:QUALITY ASSURANCE - Inspection & Testing:Follow specific written and oral instruction for visual, dimensional, and process inspectionUnderstand basic blueprints, specifications, and customer drawings/designs Perform detailed visual, dimensional, and process inspections to determine conformance to customer requirementsInspects material for quality, type, size, etc. prior to welding to ensure production of conforming partsUtilize borescopes, gauge pins, optical comparators, XRF Scanner, calipers, and micrometers to examine in-process and completed partsInspect finished parts, and components including piping, tubing, and fittings for leaks and adherence to specifications for pressure levelsReview functional test results for conformance and report NCRs (Nonconformance Reports) to management QUALITY ASSURANCE - Documentation:Recommends updates/revisions to procedures based on observations where instructions may be unclear or incorrect based on customer requirementsEvaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and testing results Record all results and input data into manufacturing software, databases, and formsIssue Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) as necessary based on unacceptable inspection data and findings Authenticate inspections and findings by providing a signature on all relevant documentation Issue certificates of conformance for completed routers GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive and understand daily job assignments, priorities, and work instructionOrganize, clean, and maintain work area to promote neatnessAssure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean, and organizedPerforms all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practicesEstablish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workersWillingly performs other duties as trained and ableEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Verifiable High School Diploma or equivalent5-7 years in a quality role performing inspections using various methods on welded partsCERTIFICATES, LICENCES, & REGISTRATIONS:Current Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) requiredExperience with or certification in Visual Inspection (VT) a plus
