Join us on our journey and make a meaningful impact on the lives of people around the globe.This position is responsible for the delivery and performance of the materials responsible for producing our ultrasound therapy. This includes analysis and monitoring of material performance, working with suppliers for failure analysis, technology roadmaps and process improvements. Position reports to the leader of the Materials engineering group.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Work with advanced material supplier (PZT) to establish and maintain robust supply aligned with medical device industry standards and requirements.Develop and evaluate specifications for critical materials.Act as SME for advanced material needs for related products and processes.Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of and apply Design/Process Excellence tools; assist others in applying tools and methodology; lead root cause analysis efforts to investigate component failures and direct cross-functional teams with appropriate mitigation strategies.Utilize time management techniques to better balance workload; identify ways to enhance the way work is done to save time and enhance efficiency; transmit sense of urgency based on business needs.Lead complex functional projects to achieve project deliverables; renegotiate with management to overcome project challenges.Evaluate potential risks associated with components and develop strategies to mitigate these risks throughout the supply chain.Review product demand plans and make recommendations for supply assurance.Conduct or supervise tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure quality.Analyze product failure data and lab test results in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.Anticipate potential safety hazards; recommend solutions; understand US and international safety and environmental requirements.Drive the implementation of changes by generating and executing test plans, test method development, verification, and validation protocols. Develop reports and conclusions that have an impact across the company; gain alignment with management on complex justifications.Demonstrate technical expertise and support regulatory by providing technical justifications for submissions. Support the regulatory submission process in compliance with all ISO, EN MDD and FDA regulations and requirements.Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.Requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience or its equivalent in education and experience.Experience resulting in broad knowledge in a field related to electro ceramics.Hands-on experience in conducting materials testing such as SEM, XRD, microhardness, XPS and other related characterization methods.Excellent oral and written communication skills.

$158,181 - $202,099 a year
