Position Summary:
As a participant in the Belk Internship Program you will gain real word experience and exposure to various functional areas of Supply Chain specifically in Analytics. You will combine data analysis and operational research to drive high-impact and initiatives that improve Supply Chain performance and reduce expenses. You will gain experience through shadowing assignments, visits to the Distribution Center, individual projects, and formal mentorship during the 10-week program. The Internship Program will look to hire Supply Chain candidates remotely who will come to Charlotte a few times in the Summer.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Work in a fast paced, dynamic, test and learn environmentIdentify & analyze Distribution Centers/Logistics data/trends to drive both strategic and tactical opportunitiesPerform systems and root cause analysis as needed for managing operational projectsWork closely with cross-functional teams to support peak period planning and overall Supply Chain initiativesSolve challenging ad hoc problems that require collecting both qualitative and quantitative insightsAssist in managing SQL database and distributing business intelligence through data modeling and data captureIdentify opportunities for innovation, productivity improvement and savingsRequirements/Qualifications:
Rising college senior planning to graduate in December 2025 Spring 2026Strong academic performance in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial/Operational Engineering, Operations, and or Business Related FieldMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Belk for this position now or in the futureProven strong academic performer (GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred)Able to see and recognize colors and lift 25 lbs.Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, confidence and self-motivation
