Quezada Architecture, a multi-disciplinary, woman-owned boutique design firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our diverse and talented team. Candidates must have both the requisite experience and a passion for modern design, exceptional design sensibility and graphic skills, and a healthy sense of humor.

Job Summary

This position requires an individual who is competent in the design and technical fundamentals of architecture and interior architecture. Under the supervision of senior staff, this person will collaborate on the design, documentation and consultant coordination. As this is an extremely rich period for career growth, we are looking for an individual who is both comfortable asking for guidance and pro-active in their professional growth. Experience in aviation design is desirable but not mandatory. We are looking to fill several positions.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Architecture Program

Experience

5+ years of related experience working in a design office

Qualifications, Skills and Software

Must be able to initiate and create technical drawings for the SD, DD and CD phases of project documentation

Revit 2024 (High level of aptitude mandatory)

AutoCAD 2024

Twin Motion and/or Enscape

Sketch-Up

Bluebeam

MS Office

Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

Responsibilities

Collaborating with team in the concept phase to development of the approach to the project

Using 3D visualizations and conventional architectural drawings to convey these ideas to clients and builders

Contributing to and helping maintain CAD/BIM library organization

Helping with preparation of project presentation materials such as boards and presentation books

Following standards established by global and local technology committees

Preparing technical documentation of projects

Consultant coordination

Familiar with building codes and/or know where to find the information

Files project correspondence and drawings as required

Collaborates with other staff on workflow optimization between technical drawings and 3D visualizations

Keeping current with software upgrades

Attending client presentations

Preparing and issuing Bid Documents

Assisting Senior Designer through Construction Administration

General Requirements

Work is currently being performed in a hybrid mode with 3 days in office (T-H) and 2 remote. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
