At NNL, you’ll be in the ideal place to capitalise on this momentum, face new challenges and develop a long, successful and meaningful career.An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Officer / Senior Commercial Officer to join our Commercial team who will be responsible for ensuring robust commercial practices are used to help secure and deliver new and existing business opportunities for NNL. The role will also support account and project teams and to maximise profit/earnings to reinvest whilst managing commercial risk, to ensure business objectives are achieved through good contract management and a fantastic end-to-end customer experience. The location for this role is flexible and can be based at Risley or Workington.This is a development opportunity and thus the salary is banded across the entire range for the role, a development plan will be put in place depending upon level of experience of the successful applicant.Main Responsibilities for Commercial Officer / Senior Commercial Officer:To provide expert support on the commercial aspects of bidding and winning new opportunities, with support from the Commercial Manager as required.Taking commercial responsibility for the full contract lifecycle of assigned contracts, including:

Commercial point of contact during the bid process, ensuring cross functional working in the generation of new proposals, and winning new work (including reviewing, negotiating, drafting and agreeing bespoke contract terms and conditions).Management of new opportunities through the approval governance process.Supporting Delivery Operations teams to ensure we protect NNL whilst meeting our promises to our customers. This may include contract amendments, KPIs, reviewing contract deliverables, and agreeing appropriate acceptance criteria.Managing the process of acceptance and agreement on issues and amendments to ensure contractual compliance.Building / maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on collaboration.

Representing the commercial team in progress/reviews and/or customer meetings.Day-to-day administration and maintenance of the commercial registers and reports.Providing support to the continuous improvement activities, by leading or participating in special projects, as required.Essential Criteria for Commercial Officer / Senior Commercial Officer:Be qualified to a Bachelor Degree level.Have experience in drafting and negotiating various types of agreements.Confident communicator both in writing and orally with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.Have strong IT literacy skills.Be experienced in advising on both commercial and business risk.Have strong attention to detail.Be skilled in analysis and the management of costing data.Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).Desirable Criteria for Commercial Officer / Senior Commercial Officer:Experience in the Nuclear Industry.Apply now
