About The Role

The Director of Manufacturing will lead the manufacturing team to meet lean and financial objectives for current and new products.They will manage the manufacturing function by developing and communicating both short- and long-term objectives.The role involves overseeing all aspects of production planning and team management, including policy development and performance management.The Director will work with Manufacturing Process Engineers to improve processes using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.They will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in collaboration with the Safety Manager.The position requires strategic leadership to define the roadmap for investment in people, processes, and infrastructure.The Director will ensure manufacturing performance, volume, and quality goals are met through efficient methods and talent management.They will lead production supervisors to meet production schedules and implement process improvements.Collaboration with cross-functional partners such as Engineering, Product Development, and Finance is essential to achieve organizational objectives.Qualifications

The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.They possess hands-on experience with MRP/ERP software systems, which is considered a bonus.A strong background in creating and managing manufacturing budgets is preferred.The candidate should have experience in Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing operations.They excel in communication and are adept at organizing production planning across multiple departments.The successful individual is an experienced leader who can inspire and manage cross-functional teams effectively.They have a proven track record in implementing continuous improvement and lean tools, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.Safety is a priority for them, and they have experience in implementing safety systems and policies.The candidate thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates adaptability and flexibility.
