Success is defined by our ability to meet our customer’s needs- we are a management consulting firm with a successful record of offering a wide range of professional, scientific, and technical services requiring a high degree of expertise and training.Job DescriptionThe Commercial Transition Specialist /Project Acceleration and Technology Innovation Office (PATIO) Liaison is responsible for facilitating the development, transition, and promotion of Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) technologies to the user community. This role involves coordinating with transition partners, identifying user requirements, and promoting ARPA-H’s mission to the broader research community. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have experience in technology transition, outreach, and the promotion of scientific research and development efforts.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and transition of ARPA-H technologies to the user community.Establish and maintain communication and coordination with potential transition partners, both internal and external to ARPA-H.Work with partners to determine capability needs and coordinate program development to meet these needs.Identify and translate user requirements into specific technology or system research and development objectives.Illustrate the benefits of applying ARPA-H technologies to equipment users and developers.Identify the commercial utility of new products and technologies and define system architectures and supporting subsystem performance requirements.Generate transition agreements to ensure successful technology transfer and adoption.Investigate areas of opportunity for ARPA-H, identifying best practices and methods to promote the organization within the research community.Establish outreach strategies, including participation in tradeshows, conferences, and publications, to increase ARPA-H’s visibility and attract potential transition partners.Support the identification and recruitment of ARPA-H/Program Manager candidates by bolstering outreach efforts.Develop and implement strategies to communicate ARPA-H’s mission and achievements to relevant stakeholders and the wider research community.Job Requirements:PhD in Biophysics or related scientific field7+ years of experience in technology transition, program management, or a related field.Experience including a combination of technology/research and business.Experience in startup/entrepreneurial business.Experience in market research, financial analysis, product development and/or supply chain/manufacturing is preferred.Strong technical background in engineering, technology development or scientific research is highly preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.Experience in identifying and translating user requirements into technology/system research and development objectives.Proven ability to coordinate complex projects and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with system architectures, subsystem performance requirements, and the commercial utility of new technologies.Must-Have:Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tier-2 Public Trust clearance.Experience in technology transition and outreach within a research and development environment.Ability to effectively communicate the benefits of new technologies to potential users and developers.Experience in generating transition agreements and coordinating with transition partners.
