The Newscast/Lifestyle Director is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the duties of the production crew including camera operators, audio operators, graphics system operators, editors, and other crew members.Interprets digital scripts and communicates with crewmembers via headset to execute live and recorded broadcastsSupervises production crew and maintains high standards for video, audio, and overall on-air presentationOperates Ross Carbonite switcher during live and recorded broadcastsProvides training and direction to the production staffAssist in repair and upkeep of studio and production sets and propertiesShoots, edits, and delivers content for local lifestyle show in studio and in fieldOversees post-production of pre-recorded lifestyle show dailyPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedRequirements & Skills

:BA or BS degree in Communications or Mass Communications with an emphasis on Television Production or related experience*

Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted based on one years of experience equals one year of educationMinimum of two years of television directing experience preferredWorking knowledge of television production techniques and extensive experience with automation is necessaryStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse communityAbility to plan work schedules and assign duties; ability to provide or arrange for trainingCreative decision-making skillsSkill in organizing resources and establishing prioritiesAbility to make administrative and procedural decisionsAbility to create, compose, and edit written materialsKnowledge of professional audio/video and staging techniques, facilities, and equipmentKnowledge of audio/video tape storage and archiving proceduresKnowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standardsAbility to formulate broadcast programming concepts and to plan, develop, and implement live and/or pre-recorded television programsKnowledge of television graphic design methods and techniquesKnowledge of television production set design principles and techniquesKnowledge of television programming concepts, principles, methodology, and techniques#LI-Onsite
