Job Summary:The Litigation Docketing Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the docketing system to track and meet critical deadlines for litigation cases. This role ensures the timely and accurate input of case-related dates, monitors litigation timelines, and provides administrative support to litigation attorneys and legal teams. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation docketing, a strong understanding of court rules, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

This position is 2 days onsite per week.Responsibilities:Docket Management:Maintain and update the litigation docketing system with all relevant deadlines, court dates, and other case-related milestones.Ensure all case deadlines are properly calendared, and provide attorneys with regular reminders of upcoming deadlines.Monitor court schedules, legal filings, and case activity to ensure compliance with deadlines and court rules.Data Entry & Document Management:Accurately input critical dates from pleadings, court orders, motions, discovery documents, and correspondence into the docketing system.Review and interpret court documents and legal filings to ensure proper docketing of deadlines.Maintain comprehensive, organized, and up-to-date electronic records of all docketed items.Court Rules & Compliance:Ensure all docketing entries comply with federal, state, and local court rules, as well as firm policies.Keep up-to-date with changes in court rules and procedures, and adjust docketing practices as necessary.Research and interpret court rules to resolve any issues or ambiguities related to deadlines.Communication & Coordination:Proactively communicate upcoming deadlines and court dates to attorneys and legal teams.Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure all case-related dates are accurately tracked.Respond to attorney and staff inquiries regarding docketing procedures and case status.Reporting & Auditing:Generate periodic reports for attorneys and litigation teams to ensure timely compliance with filing deadlines and court appearances.Regularly audit the docketing system to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.Special Projects:Assist with special docketing projects, such as large-scale case reviews, multi-jurisdictional litigation, or system updates and improvements.Participate in training sessions and provide support for the implementation of new docketing software or procedures.Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 a year
