EPIC Early Learning is currently seeking a skilled and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. EPIC is a private, nonprofit organization that has been providing comprehensive early childhood education and support services to children and families in Central Washington for over 35 years. Our mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive by delivering high-quality educational and developmental programs.
As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from our centers. You will play a key role in ensuring their safety and well-being during transit. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience in driving passenger buses and are passionate about the care and education of young children.Responsibilities
Operate a passenger bus following all traffic and safety regulationsEnsure the safety and well-being of children during transportationMaintain a clean and orderly bus environmentCommunicate effectively with children, parents, and staff membersFollow designated bus routes and schedulesConduct routine inspections of the bus and report any maintenance or repair needsAssist with the implementation of safety protocols and emergency proceduresMaintain accurate records of daily routes, passenger information, and incidentsAttend training sessions and meetings as requiredPerform other duties as assignedBe committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses, and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPIC's culture of "See Something, Say Something".Requirements
Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsementsHigh School diploma or GED equivalentPrevious experience driving passenger buses preferredAbility to pass a background check, including fingerprintingExcellent driving recordStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and composed in stressful situationsAbility to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
Pay Level:
$21.62 to $22.27

Conditions of Employment:Prior to employment, complete a pre-employment drug screen, Tb skin test by an EPIC approved healthcare provider at no cost to the employee.Pre-employment basic physical by an EPIC healthcare provider (obtain within (30) days of employment and no cost to the employee).Must pass an initial and periodic background check through the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).Provide proof of MMR vaccination and/ or resistance to Measles, Mumps & Rubella.Current Food Handlers card (obtain the training within 30 days of employment).Current First Aid/CPR card (obtain within thirty 30 days of employment).Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training and all other mandated training.CEO Approval.
