Software Developer
in Melbourne, Florida to provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.This position is based out of Melbourne, FL and will require the applicant to be within a commutable distance to provide on-site support but would also allow for some flexibility to accommodate a hybrid schedule of combined on-site and remote support.This position will be responsible for :Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software
May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modelingWorks with users to define existing or new system scope and objectivesProvides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phasesPlans and schedules new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirementsPerforms tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniquesReviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safetyConfirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementationMay perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCEAbility to obtain TS/SCI clearance.2 years' experience with BS/BA, 4+ years' experience with AA/AS degree; in lieu of degree, 6+ years' experience is allowable.Must be able to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of start date.GitLab, GitFamiliar with Kubernetes, Containerization (Docker), Virtualization, DevOps/CI/CDLinux, Windows (basic system administration)General programming knowledge of C, C++, or JavaDESIRED EXPERIENCEActive TS/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCICurrent Security+ CertificationAtlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)Experience with Kubernetes, Containerization (Docker), Virtualization, DevOps/CI/CDLinux, Windows (advanced system administration)OracleExperience in AWSAbility to work in fast paced Agile Environment.Peraton Overview
