JOB TITLE: Senior Network EngineerLOCATION: Sparks, NV (Onsite)DURATION: 1 Year Contract to Hire or ExtensionsRATE RANGE: $60-65/hour
RoleSpecialize in network engineering in a global enterprise environment. This role will provide network engineering, implementation, analytical, and operational support. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.
Responsibilities:Work closely with Staff Network Engineers on design and initiativesMaintain current network solution within workplace, factories, and logistics warehousesFunction as a Tier-2/3 escalation pointCollaborate with manufacturing engineers on requirements gathering, analyze, and propose solution to networking needsProvision, implement, test/validation, and maintain networking services per solution designDiscipline on following change request processMonitor, analyze, and report metrics of network servicesDocument network knowledgebase and operational "Run-Book"Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidaysParticipate in on call rotation2% travel required as necessaryQualifications:
6+ years' experience mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructureExtensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, QOS, VLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling.Extensive experience with multi-vendor firewall technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper SRXExtensive experience with multi-vendor switching technologies including Juniper EX and QFX and Cisco Industrial EthernetExtensive experience with low voltage CAT6, Fiber, & IT Room layout and environmentalExperience with troubleshooting with circuit carriersExperience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, IPAM, RADIUS, Netbrain, and SplunkExperience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metricsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
