The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated Corrections Counselor 2 to join our dynamic team at the State Correctional Institutional (SCI) at Muncy. If you are looking to learn and grow in your career, join our team!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Corrections Counselor 2, you will be responsible for tracking and providing weekly contact and counseling services for OB inmates who are housed at SCI Muncy for 8 weeks prenatal and 8 weeks postnatal status. You will work in collaboration with the DOULA who provides supportive services to inmates during pre-natal months, during birth, and post-natal.In this role, you will manage the waiting list for the Parenting Inside Out Group and Parenting Re-Entry Group. The caseload for the parenting program encompasses all inmates who are parents at SCI Muncy. Other duties include supervising family visits between inmates and their minor family members in Project Impact. The family visits include planned therapeutic activities which you will incorporate into the visits. In this position, you will complete case management assignments on an as needed basis. In addition, you will work alongside the Department of Human Services and other family court entities to schedule visits or hearings in regards to parental rights, rights termination, adoption, and reunification.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment (40-hour work week)Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with 30-minute lunch.This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.Salary:

Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Corrections Counselor 1 (commonwealth title); orOne year of professional counseling or casework experience in a correctional facility, and a bachelor's degree in sociology, counseling, psychology, social work, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional counseling or casework experience in a correctional facility and 18 college credits in sociology, counseling, psychology, social work, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field.Special Requirement:You must obtain Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certification within two months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.Other Requirements:Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.You must meet the
