We are currently seeking a strategic and analytical Market Research Analyst within our Marketing Department. The Market Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting market research and analyzing industry trends, developing market reports for EEI partner universities, and sharing findings with other EEI departments. The ideal candidate will specialize in developing market opportunity analysis, pricing analysis and competitor analysis, specifically for universities interested in launching online programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Opportunity Analysis:

Possess experience in start to finish custom research execution - defining research objectives and methodology, managing projects, analyzing data, and communicating results to various stakeholders throughout the organization.

Conduct comprehensive research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the online education market, based on national and regional career outlook and higher institution data.

Evaluate market demand for specific online programs and identify potential growth areas.

Competitor Pricing Analysis:

Provide insights on competitor pricing and monitor and report on pricing adjustments made by competitors.

Competitor Analysis:

Conduct thorough analysis of competitors' online programs, including course offerings, pricing, key differentiators, graduating class size.

Benchmark competitor performance and identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations on competitive landscape and strategic recommendations.

Data Management and Reporting:

Collect, analyze and interpret data from various sources, including databases and market reports.

Perform exploratory, sentiment, and statistical analyses in Excel, Power BI or other similar tools to identify key market trends.

Ability to independently identify and utilize quality information sources about various industries, occupations, and higher education institutions and trends.

Create and present actionable insights to stakeholders, including university administrators and program developers.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market dynamics and educational trends to inform strategic decisions.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including Elsmere leadership team, university leaders, university staff, program developers and our research partners.

Assist in managing external research partner relationships through frequent communication, tracking the request for research process and understanding partner research service needs.

Communicate findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Manage and update project tracking, prioritization, and tasks independently.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field required, master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in market research, preferably within higher education or the online education sector.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting start to finish custom research, including a variety of research methodologies.

Excellent document creation skills, including graphical layouts using online, web-based tools.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to adhere to deadlines.

Ability to establish strong working relationships through email, phone and video calls.

Quantitative analysis skills, using complex formulas in Excel and/or Smartsheet.

Ability to prioritize complex projects while adapting to changing company and partner needs.

Salary Range: $70,000-80,000
