Your RoleAs a Gensler Brand Leader in Dallas, you are a people and project leader, a creator of strategy, a design thinker, a client advocate, and a relationship steward. You are a practice builder who leverages a diverse portfolio of projects and business acumen to engage in new clients and project work. This role is for a leader who loves to push new ideas, is passionate about design, and gets excited about leading diverse projects and extremely talented creatives.What You Will DoStrategic GrowthMarketing and developing new business on a consistent basisAttending, hosting, or speaking at industry eventsIncreasing Gensler's visibility in the marketplaceWorking closely with our marketing team to ensure business development reporting, lead generation, fee development, project marketing, proposal writing, and ensuring timely responsesLeadershipBuilding the industry's most creative team of designersEnabling the team to reach their individual potential and maintain a positive team environmentBuilding staff capabilities through programs that improve individual design skills, technical skills, communication, and project managementProviding a creative, innovative, and nurturing environmentTeam ManagementRepresenting the interests of the Brand team and ensuring issues are addressed and resolved expeditiouslyMonitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of all staff, business, and financial operations within the Austin Brand teamManaging and mentoring team membersProviding direction on initiatives and project focusParticipating in management meetings, studio meetings, staffing, mentoring, and providing creative direction to design teamsStaff DevelopmentWorking closely with your team to ensure an outstanding experienceOverseeing hiring, employee work performance, learning, professional development, bonus review, appointment input, and evaluationInspiring creativity by partnering with design leaders to develop Brand strategiesProjectsLeading projects and ensuring client satisfactionFocusing on project process, service/delivery, work environment, project documentation, and building clients' trust and loyalty in GenslerWhere appropriate, acting as the liaison to our clients and becoming the voice of the client guiding project teamsCollaborating with other office leaders, Practice Area Leaders, team members, and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophyYour Qualifications15+ years of experience (including leadership) in brand strategy, print design, and environmental graphicsBachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related fieldAbility to be client-facing and bring in businessExceptional design sense with the ability to provide clear, critical design reviews to project teamsExcellent communication skills and experience as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants, and project teamsAbility to lead complex, multifaceted projects while exhibiting financial stewardship and adhering to demanding project schedulesAbility to work closely with design leadership across Gensler to promote an interdisciplinary design philosophy and to facilitate its advancement both inside and outside of the firmDesire to develop, motivate, and mentor young design professionalsDemonstrated success in building, nurturing, and sustaining client relationshipsThis is not a hybrid or remote position.
