Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Therapist, Milieu is responsible for conducting initial risk assessments, de-escalating crises in the milieu, conducting process groups, and as needed, sessions with Newport Academy residents in need of immediate or emergent services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct initial risk assessments for new admits

Address peer issues within the community as needed.Communicate with resident's treatment team to ensure continuity of care.De-escalate struggling clients in the community, understand crisis management techniques, and outside sources such as on-call, to support when neededMeet individually with clients who may be at risk or struggling as neededFacilitate groups with residents in the evening.Work with the Program Director and/or Clinical Director on program development, scheduling and coordinating evening services for the clinical program.Be responsible for the timely completion of clinical documentation (assessments, progress and group notes).Attend weekly clinical supervisionAttend trainings as needed.

Qualifications
