Your RoleAs a Gensler Senior Interior Designer in our dynamic Houston office, you will lead creative, collaborative teams who are dedicated to design innovation and excellence. You are passionate about your craft, and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will use your unique design perspective to bring new approaches to design process and strategy, develop next-generation talent, and help our clients redesign what's possible.

What You Will DoLead the creative efforts on client projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies and visionInspire, mentor and provide creative direction to design teamsAct as the primary design interface with clients and consultantsCollaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophyParticipate in business development and marketing effortsSelecting interior finishes, furniture and equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingProducing space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentationProvide solutions to design problems and generate design alternativesReview drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractorsFoster and cultivate a culture of design of the office and strives to elevate design quality on projects

Your QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited school of design or architecture10+ years of professional interior design and/or architecture experienceNCIDQ certifiedLEED accreditation is preferredStrong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship management skillsKnowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices
