WHO YOU ARE:The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for creating accessible, engaging, and enjoyable user experiences for web and mobile applications. Must work closely with all members of the Customer Experience (CX) team and program areas in the agency to ensure that the final product meets the needs of the customers. Must have a strong understanding of human behavior, as well as the latest trends in user experience design. Able to think creatively to solve problems and create new user experiences that are both functional and appealing. Additionally, this role will be responsible for updating content across our various sites and assisting the Web Administrators with operational maintenance and content management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:The UX/UI Designer (Web Administrator III) perform highly complex (senior-level) web design and development work. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:

Create engaging user experiences for web and mobile applications.Collaborate with Data Analyst and CX Analyst to align final products with customer needs.Conduct user research, develop prototypes, and work with the CX team on design implementation.Optimize existing user interface designs to improve usability and accessibility.Communicate with stakeholders to align on business goals and objectives.Develop technical and business requirements for user-centered solutions.Think creatively to solve problems and design functional, appealing user experiences.Conduct ongoing user research, including A/B testing, and test prototypes before implementation.Respond to ticketed requests from internal customers to update website content, links, images, tables, files, and documents in a timely manner consistent with the agency's style guides, accessibility standards, and web-content structures.Provide backup and support to the Web Administrators with various tasks as assigned.YOU QUALIFY WITH:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with courses in systems analysis, web design, web development, or computer programming.One year of full-time qualifying experience in systems analysis, web design, web development, computer programming, or graphic design may be substituted for each 30 semester hours of education.YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:

BS/BA in Human-Computer Interaction or a design-related field.At least 1 year of relevant experience.Proven experience and knowledge on implementation and facilitation of the overall design process, using a variety of methodologies like: Process Mapping, User Journey Mapping, User Story Mapping, Wireframing, UI prototyping, User Testing, etc.Experience with industry standard design and research tools (Figma, Adobe CC, Sketch, User Testing, etc.)Ability to think creatively to solve problems and create new user experiences that are both functional and appealing.Experience with web content CMS systems and adherence with style guides and accessibility standards.Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG.Knowledge of UX/UI trends and best practices.Experience with Drupal 10+ CMS.Familiarity with Acquia cloud IDE.Experience with CloudFront CDN.YOU GAIN:
