This SATCOM Field Service Engineer will provide On the Job Training instruction on SATCOM operations, maintenance, and repair of systems. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Please visit these links for more information about how Serco supports the U.S. Military https://www.serco.com/na/careers/navy-careers and our Veterans https://www.serco.com/na/careers/veterans-at-serco.In this role, you will:Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following: AN/WSC-9(V) NMT (all variants) and/or GBS and/or C-12509 TDMA TIP (all variants), SHF Communication System (all variants); and all supporting patching, cryptographic, and baseband equipment.Provide OJT instruction on SATCOM operations, maintenance, and repair.Develop, plan, coordinate, and conduct SOVT.Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management.Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.Install, troubleshoot, maintains and repair products/equipment.Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians.Test interoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves issues, and maintains detailed evaluation and repair reports.Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.Lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives.Lead and direct the work of others.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will have:Active Secret clearance.US CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card).Ability to successfully pass a drug/background screening.Bachelor's Degree Or High School Diploma/GED and 4 additional years of experience in the field.5 years of experienceEffective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair SATCOM systems as an individual and in team situations.Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment.Ability to promptly respond to telephone and email requests for technical support.Ability to travel up to 25% as necessary.Additional desired experience and skills:Active Top Secret ClearanceTrade school or military training in industrial engineering, electronics technology, information systems, computer science or other related technical field (preferred).Navy SATCOM troubleshooting and/or customer service experience providing technical support to engineers in areas of research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.Satellite communication (SATCOM) systems operations, maintenance, and repair in shipboard, submarine, and shore-based environments.Military Veterans and Spouses encouraged to apply!If you are interested in supporting and working with our military and sailors and a passionate Serco team- then submit your application now for immediate consideration.
